He's referring to shit like "the bible stated that the earth was round" when in fact it's a sphere. There's a handfull of extremely vague references that can be misunderstood to be science.

    It was pretty much propaganda

I suggest a reading of this book. I rather enjoyed most of it.
    Read it.

Besides, Dawkins is the world's most notorious atheist. I don't think anyone can change his mind (or mine).

Examples? Because I'm willing to bet they are all extremely vague.

Believing in magic and ghosts is one thing, and while I think to indoctrinate your kids with this crazyness is child abuse.

Keep that shit the fuck out of my schools!

Aw man don't call me names that's not nice. I never called you names. Also please explain how i didn't deny evolution. and who built your car? your house? the clothes you are wearing?

I am just posting my opinion there is no need to get angry about it.

Ya, I always wondered how Noah managed to save the Kangaroos. Considering no one knew Australia existed, and they can't swim :P

Nando, we will very likely never know. There is no way that we can determine how much matter; or mass, is in the universe. It is widely accepted that we cannot determine how much of the universe we can even see. We may only be able to see 5% of the universe. Sure, we could eventually develop highly sophisticated instruments, but there is a physical limit to how much we can look at. Add that to the fact that not all matter in the universe lets light escape (dark matter, singularities) and it is easy to see that it is almost sure that we will never know the fate of our universe.

Also, even if we could know how much mass there is in the universe, it would take a GUT (grand unification theory) to even consider making an 'educated guess' about anything related to what we are talking about. A legitimate GUT would show Einstein's theory of relativity to be not correct in certain situations, and the whole world of physics would be turned upside down for a decade or two.

By the way, a GUT would have to provide laws of nature that are applicable for EVERY type of physical interaction. So it would have to hold up for electro-magnetic, gravitational, weak nuclear and strong nuclear forces. I'm not going to say it's impossible, but it is highly likely that the human race will never come up with such a thing.

And this isn't just the ramblings of some college kid, it is the opinion of some of the greatest physicists in the world.
