My thoughts are that you should do some research before you change (or form) opinions on *anything*

Connect the dots for me, so we aren't making assumptions. Did she ban these books, or just tell the librarian not to pay full retail & just get 'em off Amazon?

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

This has actually been around for a few weeks now. It's substantiated by the several hundred people in Wasilla who came out to support the librarian.

No, these were books Palin tried to have banned from the public library

Did you read the email I posted on another thread? In a town of 5,000 people, one lady wrote all about Sarah.

Substantiated by Snopes, the letter is authentic.

The content may be another thing, but so far, she fires anyone who gets in her way...unless there is a public outcry.

            Closing SOON!

thank's for clarifying the legitmacy for me. but she brought this to have the books banned, taken out of the library, and the librarian said no. there really is no arguement to back her up on this one.

EDIT: and think about it, she won't have to fire anybody in her way anymore, because there will not be anyone in the way. this is ridiculous.

Was there any other reason the librarian was up for a negative job review?

She just got 'cleared' of the other mis-fire, if I'm not wrong. Is this already a black -n- white bad one on her, or are we still 'working' on this?

Refresh would have saved me, but that list is all over the place ---- Illiterate me saw a Mark Twain book ---Whaaaa, I smell something. Or I'm wrong.

So, when can she fire Obama?

I heard that there are books on the list that weren't even in circulation/print when the list was released.

i should have researched a little more on that, i do admit that. but again this is the press we're talking about. i guarantee there is some truth in this. and even half of those books would spark a major outrage with teachers across the country, and adding that to her pro-creation teaching dealio, i would guess she'd become VERY unpopular VERY quickly. but yeah, the whole dictionary thing, that must be bologna. haha.

Interesting article, but she leaves out one important fact. Palin was mayor from 1996-2002. The author claims that several books were not published in 1996; that doesn't really matter. What matters is what books were in the library while she was in office. All the books on the list were published before 2002.
