Sunriver Festival of Cars 2008 (46 images)

This is kind of part II of my other thread about the McLaren, this is all the rest of my pics from the show. There's 48 pics at 800x600, so it might take some a bit to load. But it's well worth it, enjoy!

First thing we went to after the McLaren, Audi R8. Badass in person!

I'd rather have the V12 TDI, though...

This little thing had an 1800cc VW engine:

First one of these I'd ever seen in person. Not really my thing, but cool:

Lotus Exige S. This bad little fucker belongs to the woman next to it in the red sweatshirt. She was the accountant at the video store I used to work at.

Yet another dream ride, I've wanted one of these since I was a kid:

E34 M5 that belongs to Chris Cone's dad, he brings it every year:

E9 3.0 CS on style 5's. My full shot of the car didn't come out. :(

    Showroom perfect 2002:

Another E9 3.0 CS, I was shocked to see two!

COMPLETELY electric Porsche 914. Yes, those are LAPTOP power inverters! Has a range of about 100 miles, and the owner says it hauls ass.

    Another dream car, F430 Spyder:

Maserati Gran Turismo S. Holy shit, when they fired this thing up, it sounded like the gods fighting to the death.

    Another one:

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. This belonged to a local UBER rich guy that just a couple weeks ago, committed suicide. Awesome guy, pretty bummed when I heard about it.

    I love this car's interior:

NSX with a carbon fiber hood, sick:

Lamborghini LP560, something else I didn't expect to see there:

One of my all-time favorite Ferraris:

Porsche GT3 RS. Bitchin' car, but the owner was kind of an idiot. He kept trying to convice us that it was the same car as the 911 GT3 Cup, and that there wasn't a model above his.

Impressive lineup. The funny part is the Vette is just as fast if not faster than just about anything in that line, and about half the price, lol.

I would still take this home over anything there, given the chance:

And what's an exotic show without a full fledged race car?

There was another GT3 RS there that I didn't get pics of that was way cooler, it was that exact color scheme, but reversed. I liked it a lot better.

I have yet to see a real M1 in person. Thanks again for sharing, photo skills are not that bad either!

        :p
Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Really? Oh my son, you've been deprived! They are intense in person, this is the second one I've seen up close.

And thanks for the comment about the photo skills. I'm not too bad, I just have a shitty camera. I can't really get the quality of images I want.

Great shots Josh - some seriously nice hareware on display there. Chalk me up as another M1 sighting virgin.....have yet to see one in person. The only other car at that gathering which is more rare than the M1 is the McLaren F1. Tough choice if I had to pick one to take home.
            Rides...

Ha, you've got to enjoy poorly educated, stupidly rich people.

Amidst the supercars, that Inka '02 looked like an absolutely stunning car. The electric 914 had me rolling on the floor, probably way more reliable than a normal 914. :D

That M1 is so nice. I enjoyed seeing about 40 of them at Lime Rock a few years ago. I also remember sitting in the former BMWCCA presidents white m1 at a shop in chicago when i was like 7 years old

Is the owner of the Lotus Exige cute or what? hard to see in the pic...

I would take a Maserati Gran Turismo over any Ferrari currently available. I'm with you on the Lotus Esprit and the Ferrari F-355, but that NSX needs to be rescued... Chrome wheels have no place on an NSX, and that hood is ghastly.
Not that I care, of course.

The Maserati GT S was incredible. The yellow one was the only S, the other one was just a GT. But yeah, I was fucking blown away by those things, they were amazing.

And the NSX was badass, but the chrome rims are nasty.
