Not being educated has never stopped a Democrat from voting...

A few days ago, I overheard two stoners talking.

This kid, probably 19 years old is talking to another kid who is equally as young. He says,

"Ive been on board the Obama campaign for about 7 years since he came into the Senate, I knew he'd make a good president"

I didnt interrupt, I just shook my head and walked away.

And here we have the difference between Idealism and reality, it's OK though your only 18. I totally understand where you are coming from and what you are saying but the reality is...... There is a shitload a people who will not vote for a black man named Osama, and that is the only issue they care about. Now before you get all bent out of shape about that you need to look at the flip side and see that there will be another shitload that will vote for him just because he is a black man named Osama.

Now does both sides of that issue make you mad or just one side, because if you think just one side of that is wrong you are as big as a racist shitbag as the rest of them.

Has anyone seen Obama's parents anywhere around the campaign? I haven't, and I will never vote for a person who is ashamed of his roots. Talk is cheap.

Because he doesn't whore his eldery mom out and drag her across the country with him, that's a bad thing? The interracial thing has been beaten to death.. anyone who watches the tv is already fully aware of his upbringing.

Maybe mcdonald should dig up his parents and put them on display. It would make just about as much sense.

I think if you took those blinders off for a second you might find a few of them heavily tied to the democrats.

Actually McCain introduced his mother, numerous times. More times than I would want to see.

I don't care about his interracial upbringing, I want to know that he knows where he's coming from. It's disturbing to me, that a man would not have his parents by his side as he runs for presidency of the United States. Most parents don't miss HS graduation.

He does not seem like a genuine person, to me at least. Even if McCain screws up, we will see it coming, but being blind sided is not my idea for a fun presidency. I agree with all his aspirations, it would be beautiful to live in Obamas dreamy America. Marx and Lenin had sort of the same idea. It didn't work out too well.

i was just going to post something similar. in a perfect world it wouldn't make people vote against someone AND it wouldn't be used as a selling point

I like how Obama has his ads attacking the current administration and blaming them for the lowering of regulations that caused the issues with the banks...

free market economy... freedom to fail. it's not that business of the government to make sure businesses succeed. it's the law of the jungle for corporations to have survival of the fittest.

                              Correct!

Although I'm not sure if that was the issue this time. The commercial banks seemed to have issues surrounding subprime loans from what I understand, not necessarily investing deposited money. The investment banks seemed to have the problem of investing on borrowed money and risking much of their own value on investments, which overzealous speculation in the time of volatility and rising commodity prices because of global demand caught them with their pants down, or so it seems to me.

Oh well. The problem is of course stupid people. The solution is not babysitting them, whether it be a 26 year old I bankers strung out on coke working 100 hours a week and their corporations or the middle class people with 500 credit scores with a mortgage payment that was 45% of their gross income.

You should take a look at the lobbyist $ and payments Fannie and Freddie made to Barack.
