Tivo'd it, and just watched it. Funny how everyone can see it different ways. I'm not a US citizen, my family is liberal, my country is pretty much socialist/liberal and I would still vote for McCain in a heartbeat. It's fkd up when people vote based on custom or a bit of what they want as opposed to a much larger picture and/or "change".

Some friends and I went to a Wanda Sykes performance tonight and she drove home, for me, the fact that it boils down to damn near two different breeds of people. It's beyond what Washington labeled as factions.

I like how the old fart threw out names and details with incredible sharpness.

McCain also burnt Obama on veteran issue. That phrase could not come from any teleprompter. "I love them, they know I'll take care of them." Election GOLD.

Obama hesitated over many things, and McCain was very forceful and didn't let youngster interrupt him. McCain did to Obama, what my father does to me. No "ifs or buts", McCain was dominant.

McCain was more honest. When Obama attacked him, and it was a joke, McCain laughed (bomb Iran song, not speak to president of Spain). When McCain attacked Obama, kido was stuttering. It sounded like he had electrical surges. Obama also has lied on numerous occasions (nuclear waste, russia-georgia conflict, etc.). When McCain was speaking, Obama looked like the bell for class has rung.

I really disliked Obama in this debate, articulation doesn't stack up against experience. And I really hope media burns Obama with his own comments on tape. Really hope it doesn't become a pundit television war.

McCain had issues too, but they were articulation. "the point is" was overused. He ran on with sentences and thoughts. On the positive side, it made Obama look like a child. On the negative side, it shows his age.

Obama was touted to be some flawless orator, and McCain I thought might struggle against him before the debate began.

But when it started, there was a clear division in the level of knowledge between the two candidates. And thats something that you cant practice and regurgitate. That comes from a culmination of years of experience.

Well, you did watch through a haze of bong smoke, so that might explain the difference.

Stay informed on the 2025-2026 U.S. elections, including gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia, state legislative elections, key mayoral contests in major cities, and special congressional elections.

You can go here (http://realclearpolitics.com/) and find 20+ reviews of the debate from each side. I don't think these debates are going to change most people's minds about the other candidate. It's more a matter of who cares enough about their candidate to vote.

True, but after living with a president as inarticulate as our current one, it is always refreshing to hear someone have Obama's eloquence. I still think that Obama had McCain pegged on a few questions.

I watched the debate again this morning, it's amazing to see how McCain refuses to make eye contact with Obama.
