A truly sad day indeed. :( Such a classy, inspirational guy.

My buddy met him at LRP last year, and he was still fast!

        RIP.

"He was smiling... That's right. You know, that, that Luke smile of his. He had it on his face right to the very end. Hell, if they didn't know it before, they could tell right then that they weren't a-gonna beat him. That old Luke smile. Oh, Luke. He was some boy. Cool Hand Luke. Hell, he's a natural-born world-shaker."

One of my favorite actors of all time. I was always excited when I would have the chance to see him now and then at Mid-Ohio.

R.I.P. and God Bless You Paul

I met him a few years ago at Sears Point Raceway in California, the nicest fucking guy ever.

And I got the chance to see this bad motherfucker a couple years back at a local exotic show. Newman/Freemann racing Ferrari, and yes, that's Paul Newman's signature on that back engine cover:

I heard about it this morning during Singapore Quali, it's such a shame to lose two classy gents in the same couple of weeks. It can't be said that Newman didn't make the most of his life.
