it was perceived as condescending and it isnt something i would have done. like others have said, its a matter of pride and i dont know how old her kids were but imagine taking charity in front of your kids. the fact is she was in line buying groceries so she obviously had some loot to cover the cost. i think a much better thing to do would of been to offer her 20 bucks to suck your dick behind the dumpster and leave her kids in the car

I thought you would have offered her money so that you could ass fuck the two little boys. Damn, you have a great heart.

It's not that I thought she dind't have the money to buy the food, but I hear about kids that get a bowl of Top Ramen for dinner, and that's all they eat all day. I was thinking that the shit she had would be it for the week. I could seriously care less about the lady. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't be surprised to know that she's a fiend of some sort.

And yeah, I would have offered some money for a ZJ, but they she would have bought some crystal with it. I'd rather buy the food and get a reach around in the produce aisle or something.

i remember i was in a store as a kid. dad was always away on deployments with his squadrin of planes n such... my sister and i would find all the change we could and go get some candy off base at the local Japanese market... we were like 100 yen short one time and this marine behind us paid for it all, took the change my sister and i had to pay for our candy and gave us 5 bucks or so and said save it for next time. i was so shy i nearly pissed myself.

the other day i was in a gas station about to throw what chunk change i had in the car for a soda and some fuel... a brother and sister of kids were in front of me with nothing but pennies, nickels and few dimes for some candy. the clerk made a big deal out of a buck... needless to say, i told the kids i will take the change, i let them get the drinks they put back and i sent them on their way. i didnt get the amount of gas i hoped, but im a firm believer that karma works 24/7. it happened to me when i least expected it, and i returned the favor. trust me, giving something to someone who least expects it but sure does want it is a great feeling to have before you fall asleep at night, try it sometime.

In 2031, a child will find this thread and remember the guy that bought the candy. Serious, it's the littleest, mostest tiny things in your childhood that mean the most. I wish I knew that before I wasted my childhood.

Three years ago around Christmas time I was really broke, and had no money for anything. I sat at home with my dogs and couldn't even talk to anyone about what was going on. I couldn't ask my dad for help, couldn't tell my friends. It was one of those times that everything I could do I didn't know if I could. .

My girlfriend came home with her mom with hands full of groceries. It really hurt. I didn't know how to react either. I was upset at first, and a little mad at my girlfriend for going to her mom for help.

Now that I look at it, I am grateful, but back then I was really hurt, mad, and nearly cried. I don't know what that ladies situation was, but sometimes getting over your own pride is the toughest thing to do.

I think you did the right thing, TwoJ...

...but you do tend to come off as a major ass online, so accepting help from you in person could be difficult depending on the way you offered it. You still did the right thing, no child deserves shitty parents and poor treatment.

some people just don't like hand outs because it hurts their pried. i think you did the right thing, and she just responded badly. i have had things much like this happen to me before.
