    Former "domestic terrorist" was right.

I've been doing quite a bit a research in trying establish the importance, for myself as a voter, the implications of the McCain/Palin "palling around with terrorists" claims.

What I have found is little real evidence to impune Obama.

I'm not surpised by this. What I am suprised about is this.

For those who are not familiar with Sen. Byrd, he was once a KKK member! Domestic terrorist! And a Democrat at that.

Interesting part is he was right.

Factcheck.org has shown McCain was a cheerleader for the Iraq occupation. He said it would be "easy". He also stated:

"I believe that, obviously, we will remove a threat to America's national security because we will find there are still massive amounts of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq" .

US troops in Iraq for half a decade and still no WMDs.

But it was easy. Until, of course, it wasn't.

So. The former domestic terrorist was right all along. I don't know whether to be relieved or horrified....

Philipangoo, I wondered that myself. He did, after all, say at one time "I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side." How about as your Commander in Chief, Sen. Byrd?

                    For the rest of you:

Let me dumb it down for you.

                    McCain/Palin called Obama a terrorist's pal.

I wanted to see if there was truth to it. Research ensued. The answer is NO.

Meanwhile, I find the Byrd/McCain link. Byrd must be the bad guy, since he is former KKK, ergo, domestic terrorist.

But, he was right. about the war.

                    McCain was wrong.

No need to get your favorite red panties in a wad. Put your tin hats away, too. The wicked witch of the (north)west will not get a DC address anytime soon.
