I guess im just really overwhelmed. I think though as much as i like the euro bikes, one just isnt in the cards. Unless there is like a bike equivalent of an e30, cheap, dependable sexy.

Otherwise a japanese nike arounf 250ccs looks like the more practical option

Honestly when I looked I came quickly to the conclusion of the ninja 250r. Have you looked at prices?

Ninja 250 is $3.5k. The next cheapest sport type bike I liked was $7k, and the rest go up from there. I'd love to suggest a CBR600RR or gsx-r 600, but firstly they are $9k+, and more importantly, they are not beginner bikes. They are bike made for racing, and adapted for road use. One bump, one accidental twist of the throttle at the wrong time and you've gone from 40mph to 65-70mph. Now you slam on the brakes, lock them up, or wreck the new bike. All of the motorcycle forums say the same thing, do not be fooled by the 600cc size, they are nearly as powerful as previous litre bikes and require much more skill to ride than an entry level bike.

The Kawi Versys is a good learner bike, but again twice as much as the ninja.

And I want a Ruckas, thats a scooter I could live with.
My e30 and e28 are both up for sale::

Buy used whatever you buy. People buy bikes, get scared, never use them and then sell them all the time.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.
