My friend works with the NJ Police Department, and he told me why everyone loved Crown Vics and hated the new Chargers - Crown Vics are body-on-frame designs, so if they ever come into contact with anything (and they frequently do) you can just replace the body panel, as the frame will likely be not damaged at all. Thus, comparatively cheap to repair. With Chargers, which are a monocoque/spaceframe design, one heavy-enough hit totals the car, as the frame is bent irreparably.
These proposed police cars have the same problem, but even more shit is likely to break when they touch anything. I don't see these as being practical.Comment

Whoever edited that video needs to be fired. I hate it when audio levels are completely off... can't hear shit until you turn it up loud, then the siren goes off at 5000x the dialogue audio.. retarded.
Definitely looks like some serious technology in there, and I can't imagine that being too difficult to spot. The Red Dragon V.5 1991 318iS / 2013 F800GT

Don't be mad because we don't have hoverboards and skyway flyers, McFly.
Here's to hoping they put these in production so I can spot a cop car from miles away.Reminiscing...Comment
