looks like a move in the right direction. its fuckin 2008 and technology as a whole is nowhere close to where its supposed to be.

A cop doesn't need all these buttons in his car all he needs is where to put his donut and cup of milk

My friend works with the NJ Police Department, and he told me why everyone loved Crown Vics and hated the new Chargers - Crown Vics are body-on-frame designs, so if they ever come into contact with anything (and they frequently do) you can just replace the body panel, as the frame will likely be not damaged at all. Thus, comparatively cheap to repair. With Chargers, which are a monocoque/spaceframe design, one heavy-enough hit totals the car, as the frame is bent irreparably.

These proposed police cars have the same problem, but even more shit is likely to break when they touch anything. I don't see these as being practical.

Whoever edited that video needs to be fired. I hate it when audio levels are completely off... can't hear shit until you turn it up loud, then the siren goes off at 5000x the dialogue audio.. retarded.

Definitely looks like some serious technology in there, and I can't imagine that being too difficult to spot.

the thing thats getting me, is certain vehicles like these make easy for spotting, but I see more and more un-marked vehicles that its becoming rediculous. Everything from Interceptor, 'burban, Imapala, Explorer, Charger, Ram to Pathfinder.

Sounds like a way for the cops to become more SUPER than they already think they are.

I can almost feel my civil liberties shred thinner...

Don't be mad because we don't have hoverboards and skyway flyers, McFly.

Here's to hoping they put these in production so I can spot a cop car from miles away.

Just read these are going to be powered by the BMW I6 diesel motors. Wonder how long they will last in these fleet vehicles.

This was almost worthy of its own thread:

Makes me laugh for some reason.

                            tasty
