Let's have a thread about guitars

Cause I'm trying to avoid work. I searched, and the threads that exist about guitars are either a) super old, or b) address a specific question.

    This is what I have:

It's currently going through a wah and a blues driver into a vintage 2x12 Univox. The sound is too metal for me, I'm looking for something a bit more bluesy. Thus:

This is what I want and have been trying to reach the owner about for a couple hours:

So, post up and let's BS about guitars. Basses are allowed, too :D

Hmm, I've never seen an LP studio in that finish before. What sort of stuff do you play?

I forgot to add my ever-unfinished SG project and a shitty old Ibanez acoustic I have lying around. I'll take photos of them eventually.

I like it alot, its got BurtsbuckerPros in it so i like the tone.

I used to play alot of classic rock, now i play newer stuff, some heavy some not, but the LP does well with that setup, i swear i could go do a jazz gig, then swich over to something Facemelting without having to change guitars, its pretty versatile

And yeah i have my shitty guitar project that will never be finsihed too. I had one of those seymour duncan hot rails and a volume control, Van Halen style, but it needs to be soldered agian

My dad has a Gib. Les Paul Studio-Plus. Mablewood-staided natural grain.
          it is so pretty

But I love my 1971 Aria "ES 335"-knock-off. Single-cut semi-hallow body. Tri-color starburst top. Way cool.

I also have a strat I'm turning into a frankenstrat and a couple acoustics.

This has been my main girl for more than 15 years now.

Heavily modified 64 Vox tornado. Gibson classic 57 in the neck, Seymore duncan 59 in the bridge. Simple one volume one tone wiring for minimal signal degredation. about ten years ago the truss rod broke and in the process of repairing it I cut the new fretboard with 24.75 (gibson) scale length. Grover tuners.

The amp is always changing. I have built everything but the speakers.

It started out as a 5F2 tweed princeton circuit. Plenty of tonal mods. It currently runs 1 5y3, 1 6L6 and 1 12AX7. Soon to get another 12AX7 in the preamp stage. Hammond 125e output tranny, circa 1942 Zenith radio power tranny. 2 celestion vintage 30 12" speakers. All orange drop caps in the signal path. about 8 (very loud)watts total output If the volume is low enough I cannot overdrive the amp I use a Nady TD-1 tube distortion with a vintage RCA 12AY7 tube swapped in.

My acoustic is a 12 year old Seagull cedar top. I have another 7 or 8 guitars as well.

I have an Epiphone Black Beauty running through a Fender Blues Junior tube amp, and an old acoustic guitar. I really need to upgrade the acoustic.

My dream guitar, like many of you, would be a Gibson LP Studio. In any finish, but I really love the black beauty.

Ditchdigger - that has to be one of the classiest amps I've ever seen.

Anyone know what the finish on the LP in my original post is called?

Aww shucks. Thanks. I was shooting for an AC-30 look . All measurements came straight out of my ass. I built the cabinet in an afternoon.

Most folks call that finish a "Tobacco burst" IIRC

I think its just odd lighting and its your almost standard Cherry Sunburst, similar to the likes of Jimmy Page's

My freind has an LP in that finish it is teh sex
