I am a dyed in the wool Democrat. I was disgusted by the crappy negative smear campaign that was run by McCain's campaign. And i think Sarah Palin is a disgrace and a big part of why McCain got blown out.

But come on. You cannot deny the man's service and record. I do not think that the McCain we saw in this campaign, particularly from August or so on, is the real measure of the man. Your comments are so beyond disrespectful it is disgusting.

McCain won't run again for President in 2012. He will keep his Senate seat for now, and who knows if he will run for the seat again when his term is up. In that conecssion speech last night (Sure, someone else wrote it), we saw the real McCain. Shutting up the boos from the crowd twice. He is a good decent man.

And banning should usually happen because of continuos derogatory posts, and or no real contributions to the community...With that many posts I'm guessing the OP has contributed plenty. We don't like what he said. Big deal.

The republicans certinly didnt help themselves by picking Palin for the VP, they may of even lost the campaign as a result. I doubt very much that she will get the republican pick for 2012.

McCain had a real dilemma. He needed something to get the snake-handling wing of the GOP to vote for him. There had to be a better choice than Palin, (Huckabee, Jindal - though Jindal publicly said he had no interest, and who knows about Huck) but make no mistake, that was 99.99% of the reason she was picked. To cater to the kooks.

Once Ted Stevens gets kciked out of office or resigns, I figure Crazy Sarah will be manuevering for that job (if she hasn't started already). That is unless Fox News or EIB offer her a multi year contract to do wingnut TV/radio.
