    what does VLC have to do with torrents besides the fact that VLC plays some things you download off of torrents?

        OP, there may be a specific version for Vista. I have 64-bit Vista and a lot of software coded for older versions of Windows just doesn't work. Try searching the site for a Vista specific version.
        VLC will simply run in *32 on all 64bit OS's, works fine across my Server 08 X64 and Vista 64 machines.
