The fact is that an E30 is a low dollar car nowadays. You can get a clean 325is for 4k. A large percentage of people who buy these are younger, and don't necessarily have a lot of disposable income, but buy them because they are reasonably capable cars out of the box.

Accordingly, the market for high dollar, high quality parts is rather slim in this crowd. There are very few people who will be willing to spend the extra coin when there are many low dollar, "good enough" parts, especially considering the demographic of people who buy our cars.

You have sort of carved out a very very small niche for yourself, so it would only make sense that your efforts go underappreciated. It's too bad really...

I will say that too...Daniel, I wish I gave a shit about going fast or making my car handle substantially better, because I would rock your shit in a heartbeat.

So yeah, I suppose that means thanks for being a fucking weirdo, man.

keep doing what you do, you are appreciated, although not really financially unfortunately.

make E-46 stuff to help subsidize what you really love to do.
it is like having a job you feel unsatisfied with that subsidizes your racing

Start building '02 parts. That crowd is like e30 geeks with money. A lot of their cars are "resto-mod" type projects rather than budget beater DD riceboy cars.

Wow, that's the first set of "big" wheels I've seen on an '02 that I actually like.

sad day. ...seriously try to just diversify man. Z3/M 's are very similar in many respects and those owners have cash and are often more active track-wise. it would be a seriously hugh loss to the e30 community if you simply just "gave up"

i unfortunately fall into that tight budget catagory right now... job searchin away. but that has to do partly with the times. but seriously if you close up then once i'm squared away in a few months (fingers crossed!) where am i gonna get the type of parts that your making from? i'm gonna have to build them myself :( if i had a grand to blow, your stuff would be on the top of the list. no joke.

it's definately a hobby/passion that keeps the parts support for our cars alive.
...what hasn’t been done to an m20 yet?

A clean well-sorted one. I paid $4200 for mine and it has SSR's, GC track kit, Sparco Milano seat (that I was able to sell for $800), Sparco bar, Eibach sways, ZImmerman Rotors, DINAN chip, etc etc etc.

Needed a few maintenance items and some very minor rust, but I'm super happy with my purchase.

Will you continue selling the parts you have already developed? I need a front cross brace sometime.

so, what exactly did you do for BMW AG?

and for the most part you are reinventing the wheel. hood seals that are "chinese quality" for almost the same price as the german ones?
a strut brace that isnt going to stop the rear ear really from pulling out of the subframe mounting point anyway- for over 400 dollars?- wouldnt 2 bolts with large washers do the same trick for under $5.00 and is there really any side stress put onto the shock mounting towers?

I have owned atleast 30 E30s here in Germany that require yearly to 2 year inspections and have never come across such a problem-- or heard a German friend mention it( I am not trying to say it doesnt happen)-- but is it really a problem that needs to be dealt with?-- BTW- I drive all of my cars pretty hard too.
I really dont see why I would need the parts you are "engineering" -- and I am not really trying to knock you- just asking for a reason behind these parts.

I was the guy at end of the assembly line installing the window cranks...

The BMW evo seals are actually $5.95 at the dealer (just ask they keep a set under the counter) and they never cause difficult hood closure when they harden...

The rear brace is totally unnecessary and a $2.95 roll of bailing wire would do the trick even better...

We just do it all because we need the TIG welding practice...

Not really, telling anyone to fuck off it just gets a little old explaining things over and over and over....
