You see... I get these emails that are just beyond belief (well...To me anyway)...

I really do think that for the most part people are irrational...

Or at the very least the color of the sky is different where they live.

Now I remember why I quit in '98... I may very well quit...Again.
Just wait till all the r3vers in college graduate and actually have money!
Plus on the 20th, you'll be re-inspired at the meet

I dont know... Ive grown to love my e30 too much, when i graduate i plan on keeping it around... i might pick up a newer bmw as a DD, but i dont wanna ditch my e30.

        Maybe thats just me though

Hell, i might even find a really late model e30 and have that as a DD

Look, I if I had the money, I would most definitely purchase your products. I've been to your site many times looking over the stuff you sell and I really want that front strut bar, the seals, the x-brace, all of it! Its quality, I can see the hard work that went into them. I'm not questioning your livelihood, but if its a hobby, a very long passion of yours, then why let these people get to you?

Admittedly yes, we are cheap. But then again, these cars are cheap now, so its almost expected. Let people be entitled to their opinions and criticisms, but don't let that slow down your passion for engineering and making great parts for a great car.

You can always work on E30's, but you're also right about E46's. Why don't you prioritize what you make so that both "teams" can win here? You don't have to come up with new E30 stuff all the time.

And yes, there are E30 owners out there who have money. I know if I had some I'd build a perfect "resto-mod" E30. Is that even possible yet? Don't I have to wait a for more years?

Anyways just keep your head up and just keep doing what you love, doesn't hurt to make some money on the side though, does it?
            Reminiscing...

Not doing e30 work is the no brainer and has been stated here more than once... I used to do e10s (2002) as well... The market is toast.

Quit R&D.... Or tuning all together?

                Both long stories...

It did (and does) have more to do with the people I work with and compete with rather than the end user of the machine though.

I think a by far more interesting question is why I went back to it...And one of the reasons why I think about quiting...Again.

                This is why:

In 2005 I went into a venture with someone (who shall remain nameless here) to develop new software for BMWs.

After about a year of work and some serious money we really had something... I mean really had something...

Then we got riped off... It was bound to happen.

But the big problem was that my partner in this blamed me...

I assumed like everyone in this industry I've come to know he acted on insufficient and incorrect data...

And now a little while latter I find out it was him that put the proverbial knife in my back...

From what I have see, this is how industry works...Everyone pisses in everyone else's shoes.

I'd rather say fuck it and go surfing than be around these people.

Nah, I saw that. You don't have to post it here for everyone to see.

But as one of the top 5 sellers of BMW software in the US right now (I would guess I'm third behind Turner and AA) I would think you might be willing to let me in on the secret. :)

                            I shot you a PM...

It's not like anyone here would know (he's involved with another car make) but spreading bad blood around has always come back to bite me.

                            On the bright side...

We might be making some motion on an answer to Sparco's harness bar and the new rear brace is workin' out superbly...

                            .

No bad blood makes it past me. ;)

I was just curious. Not a big deal.
