Its not often that you will find a business like this anymore. I tip my hat to them.

It's stupid NOT to do business like that. He sends you out a freshly rebuilt unit and he gets your fucked one back. He then takes some time and parts and fixes the fucked one and resells it to someone else. Now, he's lost money on the parts he put in but he's gained MINIMUM one happy customer, and if that customer's story can inspire someone else to give his shop a try, he's now ahead of the game again. Sadly, no one seems to get this though...

Their shop is about 20 minutes south of me in Holland. I brought my e30 there to replace my driveshaft, front shocks, and fan clutch. I am not impressed with their work. When I look back after learning more about e30's, they pretty much took advantage of me for the whole driveshaft thing - $900... And it didn't fix anything really. And they could have done a cleaner job on the front shocks. The kicker, though, is when they replaced the fan clutch, they used the completely wrong tool, an impact gun/chisel thing (don't ask me how), and ended up destroying a year old water pump bearing, which suddenly failed about a month later while I was doing 70 on the highway.

The reason I brought my car there was because all they work on is foreign, mostly european, which is hard to find a place like that in west michigan. But, when I go back to talk to the guy working on my car one day, he says he hates working on foreign cars...

Oh, and they charged me $40 to "diagnose" and replace a bolt that was missing from my power steering pump... I wish I could go back in time and chew them out for some of the shit they pulled.
