Tell me about it! I once was broke in like 2 days after pay-day (= study grant) and i was like . A couple bills and VERY small stuff. So deceptive :)

Quit smoking cigs about a year ago.

Quit buying weed like 6 months ago. (occasional puff if a friend is supplying)

I only put enough gas in the car to get to work, school, and back home.

Bar time is limited to Sunday to watch NFL. I used to go out on Fridays.

The economy isn't effecting me, but I'm not working since I moved away from my job for school, so I'm cutting back anyway. Eating a lot of mcdonalds and hot pockets...Even more pizza, not buying many things that I don't need, and I actually think about whether I need it or not before I buy.

hmmm.... eating out only once a week. no more daily (sometimes twice a day, morning and evening) starbucks trips. actually trying to keep the mpg in the 25+ range as much as possible but it's not easy. no cable tv, just internet.

Maybe you could cut back on your Grande Mocha Latte's and sign up for some sessions at Sylvan Learning centers to brush up on your spelling.

I havent purchased a new car in 2 years Sweet Carl.

-make my own lattes in the morning-free starbucks coffee grounds from my sister helps too
being that i still work and have 2 more jobs lined up, when the places open, im not too worried, plus having two cars that beg attention i spend way to much money on a daily basis. I hope you make enough profit off me blunt to still roast your own coffee.

nothing really, I was never much of a consumer. But I did just buy a new camera, and last month I blew $200 on Guitar Hero: WT for the wife and $400 on a kitchen floor (which was damn cheap!). Otherwise, I'm trying to sell my share of the 2nd house to a friend, which will free up a lot more cash, but I can still rent it if he's not interested.

Lucky for me most of the work we're doing here is mandated by the EPA, and there's enough to keep us busy for a good 5 years, so assuming we aren't facing the 2nd coming of Christ, I'll be fine.

I've actually been looking for investment opportunities.. the last 10 years of market growth have been basically wiped away, and as my friend put it, it's basically like I just got out of high school only now I have a good job and a lot more knowledge. This is probably the most significant financial event of our lifetimes so better make the best of it..
