Calm down! I was just suggesting it because it shows both sides. Being that your into lifting I thought it would interest you. I learned alot about the industry through the film which has led me to research more aspects of steriods, supplements etc just out of curiosity. No, I havent. My workout buddy has though, he recommended it also. I rarely watch movies, but maybe I'll make it a point to watch this one.
If that movie is trying to prove your point about those guys having self esteem issues, you may be right. Those who take 'roids do have esteem issues. But then there are some who are just into it who take the regular supps (noxplode, size on, protein, creatine) and are totally fine as far as self esteem go. If anything its narcisism, wanting to look better than anyone else. So Im just defending the average Joe who works out hard, and is as into it as you can be, without using roids. That is all.Leave a comment:

There was a string of 4 kids in Visalia who hung theirselves within a months time. It all started with one guys dad beating him in front of his friends. Then the friends couldnt take it anymore either, allegedly.Leave a comment:

Oh my gosh! :( these stories are so sad! There was a guy on a F-body site i'm on. Last year or the year before posted up a final post/note about how he couldn't take life anymore. The forum owner called the police and a few guys that lived close to the guy went to try to find out what was going on. But it was to late cause the guy shot himself. Sad way to end ones life.Leave a comment:

How would working out hard have to do with having a low self esteem? Im sure some guys do have a low self esteem. They probably figure they have an ugly ass face, may as well be into their body, something they CAN fix. But not all feel that way. I just truly and honestly hate fat people. Id never want to be what they are. They epitomize the fat, lazy slob American. Id rather be the opposite, someone who works out hard, and is in great shape.
But as I said just in the post above... some probably do it because they feel badly about theirself.Leave a comment:

How can working that hard for attention not have to do with self esteem?Well, obviously those who lift do it for attention. It is a prideful thing when you walk into an establishment, can look around, and know that you are the biggest guy, who works the hardest, in the building. Hardcore lifting to an extent, is a detriment to your health. Its ALL for attention. If it wasnt for attention, youd just eat healthy, and jog. I dont necessarily think it has anything to do with a poor self esteem, though.
I dont know about those who do 'roids though. Those are just cheaters, with REAL problems.Leave a comment:

Guys that are heavy into bodybuilding obviously have some self-esteem issues already. I've asked the guys I know that use roids and build why they do what they do and they said it's all for the attention. They said it's such a rush to do the shows etc.
This is just really sad though.Leave a comment:
