I like Thanksgiving because its a holiday that isn't mucked up with religious overtones nor are we obligated to go out and buy everyone a gift. Its all about family and friends getting together - perhaps watch or play some football - then have a feast. Probably my most favorite holiday of the year because of its simplicity.

Meh - it is what you make of it. For me, no church service (sorry, just not the religious type), no mall/shopping drama.....just help prepare some of the food (this is where wine and spiked egg nog come in) and enjoy spending time with those who matter the most.
