I always say $15,000 too. I probably still wouldn't sell it though.Comment

I always get two reactions from people when discussing my car - it just depends on the situation.
Example 1: Inside (at work, etc. not physically looking at the car) and when someone asks what I drive I say "1991 325i". The usual response is "gosh that's old - you should get something newer." I just tell them I enjoy having a car that's paid for.
Example 2: At the fuel station or while washing the car in the driveway, a passerby will say "looks nice, what year is it?" I say "1991" and they reply with "wow....sure is clean for its age". What's better is their reaction should they inquire about the mileage (203K+ now). They're just amazed when I tell them how great it still runs.
There's only been one time where a guy didn't bat an eye about the mileage. Turns out he used to own an Eta and sold it after 300K miles :-P

most people asking you have no idea anyway - just dumbies..
the only time anything like this happened to me, that I can remember off hand atleast, was about 6 months ago or so,
I was with my girlfriend in the 'vert at a stop light, and an old man, easily over 60... probably more towards 70 or so, pulled up next to us in a drop top m6 - he smiled and engaged in conversation about black bmw drop tops, and then sped away (FAST) once the light turned green...
funny old man though, sounded like Polly. No voice, definately mobbed up... hahahaComment
