It's sad, but also frightening how liberal the justice system over in UK is. I feel confident that if that were to occur over here in the States, the penalty would be more long-term and severe.

Well Trey, as you see such news stories getting increasing intl. attention you will see these differences in judicial systems.

The sentencing in this case I would also see here in Holland.\
Average punishement for manslaughter is 10-15 max. and you can even get out in 7 yrs with "good behaviour".
Kill a cop then yes you get the life sentence.

Some people may also wonder what is up with the life sentences + X amount of years known in the U.S system.
