I love E28's and E34's. I'd love to have one as a comfy, cross-country type DD.

I'd really love to get the girlfriend one as it'd be a BMW, but be big enough, nice enough and quick enough for her to enjoy driving something a bit old school. She love's my E30 but wouldn't want to drive one daily.

Well, some of us have the means to go get a 135i or new M3, but don't want one.

Every time I drive my E46 after my E30, there's no question about which car is put together better. The '80s cars were just plain better. And DIYable too. The new cars are nothing but rolling annuities for the dealer service departments. "Hey, I don't want my interior lights to come on when I open my door". The old way: reach in and move switch to different position. Cost: $0. The new way: wait at dealership while technician reprograms your "entry lighting options". Cost: >$50. Progress for whom?

And I will resist as long as possible buying any car that makes me GUESS how much oil is in the crankcase. Gimme a fukin' dipstick, fer chrissakes! :)

So, I am keeping my E30 M3 for sunny warm weekends, and buying a nice, rust-free 150K mile E28. And not because I have to, but because I choose to.

OP, Spec, what size are those ACS wheels on the e34? Just look right and I want to be sure on those.

Looks shweeet. I love me some 5ers. Moreso E34 though.

I've liked e28s since I learned to drive on my Dad's 86. If he ever decides to buy a newer car(he's still the original owner of said 535i) he's promised me the car.

Nothing but love for the E28 here.

E28 love is blossoming because they are kick ass cars! Very durable, cool looking in their own way, fun to drive... A true cult classic in every sense. I think they drive like slightly larger E30s, but they feel like they are more solid and built a little better - which is saying a lot.
