most border agents are in fact, not assholes. they are working a job like everyone else. It's really easy to get through without being harrassed. There are two rules to follow: Be friendly towards them, and never answer their questions with "I don't know".

I have never been searched by US border guards but I have been stopped several times in Canada. Either way I wasn't smuggling crack across the border so it was merely an inconvienence. This asshole was just asking for trouble, and I'm sure he got what he was looking for.

The friendliest border guard I ever met was a big scary looking dude with a satan goatee and tatoos everywhere. He once stopped me and asked me to pop my hood.. I was a little freaked until I realized he just wanted to BS about cars. I could have been an asshole though and would have received an anal pounding instead but I have better things to do than get attention from stupid kids on the internet.
How is that relevant? Border Agents are very much needed. Wannabe B.Agents within America ARE NOT.

And yes, I know Ron Paul withdrew. I'd rather not be forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.

your family did realize that he withdrew his candidacy and supported Chuck Baldwin on the Constitutional Party ticket right?

As much as i hate what illegals are doing and their effects on our system, they should be stopped AT THE BORDER, not internally scanned for by harassing law-abiding US citizens. they should be prevented from A) Entering the country to begin with, B) find housing, and C) being employed

what if someone said "yes, i am a citizen"? How would they confirm the person is not lying? personally, i don't like the fact that i even have to carry around a fucking license or ID, what will they ask for? your birth certificate? your Papers?

all new cars should be activated by your license, fuck having a car key. the possibilities would be much more positive than randomly intruding on people's daily activities to "just check" when there is no probable cause for it... besides the national crisis due to the stresses we burden for all the illegals and identity theft & fraud.

if i was the law, i'd have this guy out of his car and face down on the ground.

how about answering the fucking question you moron?

and also, if i knew this guy as an asshole from him coming around before and busting my chops, i'd make sure he got the full treatment everytime. what an fuckup. he wants to start something, let's go asswipe.

    fuck him
people exactly like you ARE what is wrong with this country and the reason for its so many flaws.

An officer OF THE LAW is NOT the "Law"

you do not have any "right" to not answer the law dickhead. it is their authority to question you. not answering is a great way to get detained.
next time you get pulled over by the law, let's see you play big man then.

there is obstruction of justice, but self-incrimination is prohibited by the 5th you worthless inbred

    I never typed that?

and incase you missed this post:

The constitution prohibits unreasonable search and seizure, as well as self-incrimination. (Amendment IV and Miranda v. Arizona) respectively. checkpoints are constitutional, as Article IV, section 4 points out: "[...] and shall protect each of them from invasion". You might not agree with this, but the courts would uphold the existence of roadblocks as being necessary to secure our borders. Also, did you ever think that perhaps this road is known to be used by illegal traffickers? 40 miles is not really that far from the border. He is not questioned in a quest for evidence, nor is he accused of any wrongdoing. It's not any different than a police officer asking if you've been drinking when he pulls you over.

Also, he is not initially being detained. the agent is trying to determine if he is a United States citizen. When he refuses to comply, he is then outside the law and is detained until his citizenship can be established. Technically, he could be arrested for obstruction of Justice, so I think he got off easily. One of the Reserve instructor pilots here in Corpus is a Border Patrol helicopter pilot in Laredo, TX who takes fire while flying in support of the Border Patrol. What point is this guy trying to prove again?

And, before you complain about something being unconstitutional, read the constitution. If you're gonna argue something, at least know what you're arguing about.
There you go, this has been restated a few times in this thread. I'm trying to help you out. If we can't get through to you on simple issues, how can we go forth and start talking about the Nazi philosophy and how THAT is going to be taking away our constitutional rights?

Yes, there is videos out there of Senator Obama talking about how today is so much like pre-Nazi Germany (this was early in the decade) and he wasn't opposing this, by the way.

You are correct. Still missing the point though.
Would you like some information on the Nazi philosophy next?

Do you even know anything about the nazi philosophy? If you did, and you were against it, you wouldn't dare post such a comment in regard to your grandfather. You need to get your head out of your ass for the sake of your fathers reputation.

    And how old are you?

This isn't about the marines (whom I deeply love and respect, and have family members serving), or the border patrol (who do a dangerous job to protect us all), or police (who put their lives on the line every day to keep our society together), this is about a vaguely defined government agency reaching beyond it's already blurry jurisdiction to impede the freedoms of good americans.

My grandfather would be disgusted by this, he didn't take fire from Nazi motherfuckers so 60 some years down the line we could start behaving in just the same way.

Watch the video. I knew nothing about politics untill I started cramming a month or so before the election. Put in about 20 hours worth of conversations between friends, teachers, and family. All of whom were voting for Obama. They all agreed that video is like nothing they have ever heard of. There original Orwelian opinion about all republicans being redneck dumbasses came to light.

Listen to it like you you watched the BBC video...

Never did I say to take everything they said literally
