OK, so "Athletes Heart"? What the hell does that mean? What do you have to do for it? Is it in fact terminal?

Sounds pretty shitty, man. Some serious bummer news.

Basically, my septum (wall in my heart separating left ventricle from right atrium) has doubled in size. The normal thickness is 10mm and im a little over 20mm. It basically means that because of the abnormal growth in cardiac tissue my heart will start to become arrhythmic and will eventuall cause me to go into atrial fibrillation. Normally they could implant a defibrillator in my chest, but because I'm 23 and the rapid rate of growth, the tissue is too unstable to do that. If i make it to 30, then they can do the implant due to that being the typical age that cardiac tissue is stable. But its not looking too good because all this growth has occured over only 2 years. And i have it due to a fluke of genetics. I run triathlons, don't smoke, all that shit and of all things my heart is gonna get me. Pretty shitty Christmas actually...

Cool thread!!! Well, here are the pics of what was exchanged between us (My mom, my father, my brother, and myself).

Not pictured are the Lakers vs. Pacers tickets that my brother gave me for the 9th of January at the Staples Center. Also my parents are going to put in a sattelite radio in my 325e. Cool as siht! Here go the pictures.

I got my brother a Playstation 3. Although this is one of those gifts that really benefits all of us haha. :) I can always just come to my parents house when I feel like playing the PS3.

My brother got my dad a 1:18th scale 1974 Porsche RSR turbo model. AutoArt manufacters it. The amount of detail on this model is abslutely unsurpassed. It is truly remarkable.

and this is another one in my dads extensive model car collection. I absolutely love this car. "Ugly duckling" my ass. This car is beautiful to me.

Ever since I can remember, my dad has expressed an interest in bass and learning one day to play. He always spoke as if it was too late but that he always though the would be good or at least enjoy it. Well, I got him a Fender Squier bass and not only will it be cool for him, but it can give ME a chance to learn to play to teach him, and maybe contribute some good memories betwen him and I since we have a shaky relationship. Its a win/win/win situation. Plus I can learn to play as well and have it be another instrument I can play.

My brother got me this Wilt Chaimberlain jersey to add to my collection of jerseys. Here it is next to my Magic Johnson jersey. These jerseys are very well made.

My brother is a Yankee fan (disgusting), and has been since he was a boy. My mother got him cuff links that were made from the old wooden seats at Yankee Stadium before they replaced them with plastic seats in 1976. I think its a reall really cool gift. Thoughtful and interesting as all hell.

My brother, my father and me got my mom some shoes. Christian Louboutin. They cost more than our lives haha.

And, my family gave me a box set of Led Zeppelin with CD's that are wrapped in replicas of how they were sold in LP form. All the sleeve artwork and packaging. Pretty cool. Its a shame to even open them haha.
