Tank grown fish? lol. Let me see these TANK GROWN FISH. Im assuming you are meaning farmed fish. Farmed fish are just kept together in close corridors, and STILL fed wild fish or pellets made from these wild fish. Farmed fish are 10x worse than wild caught fish. The fact of the matter is the larger the fish, the more concentrated the toxins will be. Example there is a pound of herring with 1ppm of mercury in its blood. The salmon then eats 10 pounds of these herring to grow one pound. That now means that salmon has 10ppm of mercury in his body. Though its not as high as 1 ppm, its a dumbed down example. So that is going to happen anyways, in nature. Then to farm these animals, where theyre not eating their natural foods (Krill, which is why they are pink.) Youre just feeding them random meat and other foods, which lead to higher phosphates, and higher risk for detrimental algal blooms. Have fun eating your artificially colored salmon, which is GREY.
And yes, eat seaweed to fight mercury. Are you aware most seaweed contains arsenic? Instead of eating high levels of mercury, then trying to eat something else, to help out... how about NOT eating a lot of mercury?
