Those territories were annexed after Israel was attacked from all sides during the 6 day war...

The surrounding Arab countries attacked Israel in unison, in an effort to knock it off the map..
Israel, engaged in war with its neighbouring countries (notice: countrieS , as it was attacked by several) , then pushed them back, and annexed these disputed territioris.
