Fleer actually went bankrupt, and there were some huge fire sales, flooding the market with shit. There were a lot of corrupt things going on, like Scoreboards fake autographs they used to sell by the cases out of the back of their warehouse. Playoffs lying and cheating of the "buy back autographs", which werent really buy backs. Losers make counterfeit cards, or "shaving" the edges and corners to make a card a BGS 9.5. Kinda sad how money hungry the companies got, and ruined a cool little hobby.

    So true!

I really got out of enjoying the main sporting events because of it. I love College football and, enjoy going to NBA games, NFL not so much. Dont even watch Baseball anymore unless a close friend of mine that pitches for San Fransisco is playing. X-Game sports is what I gravitated towards these days.

haha..I wasn't collecting baseball cards at that time but I started in the 90's when I was little. I have some from back in the 80's and I believe I might have some from the 70's.

I'd like to know how much some of them are worth...Is there someone that can actually figure that out? Card shop maybe?

A large lot of cards wouldnt fetch much. Back when I was into them a few years ago, large lots would only get maybe $100-$200. Id imagine less now, unless there were some stand out cards. And at that point, itd be worth it to listed them individually.

any of the late eighties on cards as a whole are not worth as much, as there was a huge ramp up in production but if you have any 70's-85 cards, they could be worth a pretty penny. Newer stuff, expect 5-50 for some primo cards.

When I was in grade school they loved to flip cards, but being the prick I was, I kept all mine and didn't flip 'em again. I've got Roberto Clemente cards from 1970 and 71 World Series (Clemente was '71 World Series), Nolan Ryan cards, Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. Hundreds of them. I kept all them bitches. Lots more cards. Remember the '71 topps pacs with the coins kept a bunch of them too.
Although when Upper Deck cards came out I bought boxes of them and never opened the pacs got bunches of them too.

The few cards I was wondering about are the Brett Favre rookie Atlanta Falcons cards (2 or 3) that I have and a few of the older football cards I have. I should find them and see what decks they are...I know he's not baseball

Id hang on to the Bretts til he retires again. People get emotional with their purchases, and will overpay. Sadly enough, his RCs arent worth much cash wise. His Stadium clubs (The good RC of his) only fetches around $30.

Honestly, if its not #d to 25 or less, an autograph, or a game used (or all of the above), its not worth much any more.

                              $5+...
