Yep, there are a few in Santa Ana that I used to frequent, but I wouldn't go to again because all of the habits from those days would prolly come rushing back, if you know what I mean

Tommys is the shit. We used to eat there every time we were in LA, because my mom was from Socal. There or Giovannas (spelling) the little whop pepper steak place in burbank. The "sons" of Tommys ended up coming to the central valley and opened up a shop. It wasnt the same, but it was good none the less.

There are a ton of Tommy's ripoffs around here - they spell it Tommies,Tomy's Thommies, etc. They suck. Good to know the family is capitalizing on the success of the original.

El Si Hay FTW... only one location in Oak Cliff. Not a chain, simply a family run shack in the hood.

Then again, there are plenty of places here that are king of tacos. Many of which are called "Taquerias" or have Taqueria in name.

I'm sure there are plenty of taquerias in various states. You just have to roll through the right neighborhoods.

Ghetto ass Visalia and Fresno have Taquerias. Especially if you go eat at the La Mejor factory.

I dig the taquerias, but for the most part they sell lengua, trippa, cabeza, and other stuff that I'm sure is good to others but brings that gag reflex for me.

I visit Tacos Jalisco on Tustin and La Casita on Lincoln, both in Orange. I think El Triumpho on 19th in Costa Mesa is still good (Social Distortion had a photoshoot there for 'Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell", btw)
