just too much of an age gap. young kids are idiots just like i was at that age. rough it out till june or july till she gets up there. when i was single i would only live with females because they were less likely to be slobs. i dont think ive ever had a male roomate unless you count late night visits from jflip to service my rod

OK, so here is the deal: I closed my shop because business slowed to a complete crawl. My GF (AKA Wife) stayed in Springfield, Oregon until her son graduates high school.

So I am up here in Kirkland where I can earn a living, and roomating until she gets here, like June or July.

So to answer your question, I am 45. Daughter is 19, married, and stable.

When I moved into this house, I thought i might be OK living with 2 23 year old girls and a 22 year old guy. I mean shit, I have the entire upper floor, nice spacious bedroom, bathroom, office space and balcony...

WRONG!

ALWAYS dirty dishes. ALWAYS clothes in one or both laundry machines. Girl who owns cats is never home...expects others (me) to clean catbox.

They got the first months utility bills and PANIC ensued. The girls take hour long showers to the point where steam can be seen from down the hall AND leave the door to the garage open, so they were heating the garage...then they panic? WTF? They had the heat blasting all fucking day and night, then panic and turn the fucking heat down so low (like 48!) that I am fucking FREEZING and just goddamn miserable...after we AGREED to keep it moderate, like 55 during the day and 62 at night, with little bumps up to 65 during the morning and evening...nice normal settings...fuck all of this.

People eat food, then do not replace, not to mention what kind of crap they leave in the fridge. Some of the shit in there is growing a tail...nasty. Plus, there is no room for me, the 4th roommate to store foods.

I am no clean freak, only needs to be tidy and room for others to live. Using the garage as a woodshop? Oh fuck no, WAY too much of their shit gonna get buried in sawdust...I don't wanna have to clean the sawdust out of their shit.

Not one single thing has gone down as discussed. Nothing!

I really don't care. The woman I love is 400 miles away in a shithole town. I am going crazy here living in a place like this, which could be really cool, but is never gonna be.

Guys, I really just needed to vent.
