I am not looking forwards to Obamapalooza, not because of the man's policies, but rather that traffic in the DC area is going to be crazy pre/post inauguration. At least the federal government is shut down for a few days.

Bush has made huge political blunders. I do suspect that history will show that he was a much better President than what the media wants you to believe. He's a crooked politician like the rest of them, but I also believe he has acted more from a solid belief that you must act to protect America instead of hoping for the best. Unfortunately, we will never know what would have happened if he had been as wishy washy as Jimmy Carter so we will not be able to compare the outcomes.

I am of course not looking forward to Mr. Obama's presidency. However, he is our legally elected President and it is up to him to sink or swim. I think he will end up disappointing millions of Americans and 2 years from now, Congress will shift back to a much more politically balanced arrangement.
