Just dont be a little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles and ask for their help when you need it. And 99 times out of 100, the reason a cop is at your house, or you were pulled over, is because you are doing something which warrants him taking action. Dont like cops, dont want them to pull you over? Obey the law. Its not their law, they just enforce it. (This isnt directed towards you Sam, moreso the loser who was talking crap about cops).
Whereever the little asshole was skating, was probably on private property. If it was private property and I owned it, I'd be calling the cops in a fucking second because as soon as the prick fell down and broke something, the next thing you know, his family lawyer is at your door with a summons and you are being sued. Guaran-fucking-teed.
If it was public property, the settlement would be even higher.
So the cop gets a call, comes and tells the kid to cease and desist and the kid doesn't listen. The cop taught the kid something his parents don't have the balls to do. And it didn't cost the family a cent.
After all the bullshit flying here, the cop should have kept his mouth shut, arrested the little prick and sent him to juvi. Then his parents can pay a lawyer to get him out of juvi and pay the fine. That would have cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

I have NO problem with skateboarders. NONE.
Seriously, I even make donations to the local park and there is a spot there for boarders. Some of those guys are fucking amazing and fun to watch.
But there is a time and place for boarding, and things to do to make sure you don't get hurt. Those kids in the vid were wearing zero gear and it was obvious they weren't in a skate park. See my post about the lawyers.
If you like it keep it up, just be safe about it and if a private property owner asks you not to skate on his land, its because if you get hurt he will have to pay. Thats all.

That cop should be sending the parents a bill in the mail. Maybe next time he should just cuff him and rough him up a little.

I understand you may not blame the property owner, but who knows what parents or insurance company will do.
God forbid, but what if someone skating broke their neck and they were paralyzed for life? NOT common accident I know, but who wants to be in that situation? There's no winners, the skater is fucked, the property owner is fucked. The parents may not be able to afford costs to care for the son or daughter, so their insurance company would sue the property owner to get care for the victim. Cause the insurance company doesn't want to pay.

Keep it safe, keep it real. Even Johnny Knoxville fucks up every once in awhile :)

I didn't see him throw the kid down, he did grab him--it was rough but the kid learned a lesson.

High school kids don't listen. I saw this. I was at a high school football game last year and this kid was standing in the row in the stand, big kid, people had a hard time getting around him. He was talking to a girl sitting on the end.
Cop looks up and tells the kid to move, that the aisle needs to be clear-- if someone has a heart attack or something. Cop moves on. Kid pretends he didn't hear. Next time around, the same cop says the same thing to kid, a little louder. So the kid starts walking down the steps and the cop moves on. As soon as the cop was out of sight, the kid went right back to the same place to talk to the girl.
This whole time, people are having a hard time getting around his fat ass.
The third time, the cop walks up, gets his nightstick out, just touches the end of it to the kid's chest and said, what did I tell you to do? Kid shrugs his shoulders. So with his stick, he pushes the kid into a seat. The mother comes over, and says what is going on, my kid wasn't doing anything wrong. The cop walks to the bottom of the stand and said something to her I couldn't hear it. She then went to her son and said something in his ear, I didn't hear it.
                                Well, guess what?
She went to the next council meeting, which they put on TV here, and said that the chief of police should be fired, the cop should be fired, that the police were out of control and she demanded the mayor fire the cop. Because the cop used excessive brutality against her son.
Then she filed a lawsuit against the police for brutality.
And the police settled the case out of court and the taxpayers had to pay for this bitch and her asshole son.
So you tell me, why would anyone want to be a cop?
