Amusing random tidbit - there was a puppet show on Russian TV when I was growing up that was meant for kids. Later on at night, at 11 or so, the same puppets starred in a puppet-based adult variety show, drinking lots of vodka and making crude jokes about politicians. It was pretty awesome.
