    Clint Eastwood appreciation thread

    GO SEE GRAN TORINO

Seriously, that movie blew my mind. It marks the first time I've been more than just entertained by a film in several years. It's funny, sad, touching, and badass all at the same time. Clint is the grouchiest old man in existence :D

My first car was a 72 Gran Torino Sport
    351 Cobra Jet motor.
Fast, but handled like shit. It was a boat.
I painted my grille and headlight trim flat black.
It looked great until it started chipping.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is one of my all-time favorite movies. Fuckin' Epic. I'll have to check out Grand Torino.

"You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig." I'm going to throw that in before work tomorrow...great movie.

It'll be a shame when he passes, he's the epitome of badass.

doesn't get any better than the final scene in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly IMO.
                            1990 S50 goodness.

The Gran Torino in the movie is also a Sport with 351 Cobra Jet.

I found Clint's acting as well as the plot quite basic, but never as bad as a Vin Diesel flick. But in all honesty, overall, I greatly appreciated that movie when I managed to go beyond Clint's initial constant grumpiness.

Imagine a retired Dirty Harry, living in a Michigan slum suburb, surrouned by "immigrants".

There are few good lines too.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.
