We have one tech + a lube guy (Not blunt) in the shop today. So we are deader than shit. That's definitely not going to help our awful numbers. I'll probably wait til after lunch and leave early. Go pick up a cake for the nephews birthday, go to the gym, go to my reef club meeting, then off to Fresno.

so far I've been tracking down all the 3d models that are referenced multiple times. It's gotten so far out of hand it takes me 45 minutes to load the master model, and these aren't *that* detailed (no textures or anything fancy). Is it sad that I've only been doing this for 8 months and I'm having to tell everyone else how to manage their models?

I hung some sheetrock. Did some taping, joint compound, sanding and painting.

this is a thread about what people are doing at work, and I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see man-ass on the job. what you want to do with your own time is your business. ;)Last edited by nando; 01-16-2009, 12:29 PM.sigpic

So far...
Run around in circles trying to sort it all out...
Spent some time on the phone with some unreasonable and possibly mentally defective people...
Ordered parts we should have had in stock...
Told the owner he's dead weight and he should just stay home...
Nothing new, I'm glad we are busy though.

2)This was my NOT my "own time". I was recieiving a paycheck for what I was doing.
This is off-topic...I wouldn't post that in "On topic".
Now let's try this again...although I work in construction, I also do photo shoots of young (over eighteen) girls looking to enlarge their portfolios. This morning I did a photo shoot of a female college student (over the age of eighteen) by the name of Jennifer..
Here is the best photo of my work from this morning:
After her photo shoot, I did another with a girl named Lisa. My camera was on the fritz and I couldn't get it to focus correctly. This is the best I could come up with. I have rescheduled her for tomorrow morning after I sort out my camera issues:
After this morning's photo shoots, I went to my bosss house where I am installing a maple chopping block countert top and propane cooktop.
I am also building a center island with another butcher block counter top:
While letting the glue set up, I moved on to hanging some sheet rock along with taping the joints and joint compounding the screw head fasteners. My boss just got a new Defiant Vermont Castings wood stove and was testing it out. He overloaded it and left the flue open so it became extremely hot in the house. This was great to allow for the joint compound to dry quickly, however i became unbearably hot and since his wife was not home, we worked in th nude to escape the extreme temperature.
That pretty much sums up my day.sigpic
