I was so happy the day I got my glasses (7-8 years ago) I can't see shit without them. I never realized how bad my vision was until I got them.

About 9 mos ago I noticed my vision getting blurry, not being able to focus/in and out of focus. I had just got new glasses so I got worried. Went to the doc and she said there was blood vessels bursting behind the retinas.

I got sent to a retinal specialist. He took a look and said the same as stated above by the other doc.

Bam! 2 days later they are doing the first of five weeks of laser treatments.

I should have taken better care of myself in the past, but what's done is done.

Eye problems suck, it's scary thinking you may be blind in the near future.

You'll get used to the glasses in no time Josh.

    Andy

I'm not farbin, but it does get better. :P when I first got my glasses it took a bit for my eyes to adjust to seeing things properly. i got headaches and shit too. nowadays frequent headaches are usually an indicator that i need new lenses.

I got laser surgery a few years ago after wearing glasses since the 3rd grade. Amazing.. I was better than 20/15 in one eye, and just above 20/20 in the other. It's wonderful. I'm back down to 20/15 and 20/20, but with both eyes combined I'm seeing between 20/15 and 20/10. I would highly recommend it, it's been life changing.

I got 2 different ones, one is kind of a more classic, 60's-era black frame, kinda emo-kid, but I like that style. The other ones are a thin matte black wire frame, with a more squared design. I'll get a few pics later.

Yep, me too. Circles were looking like eggs for a few days. I am about 8 days in. My Dr. told me to put them on in the AM, and take them off to go to bed. Don't try to "ween" yourself. I feel like such a newt now when I don't have them on. By two weeks, everyone I talk to say the transformation will be complete. What kind of frames did ya get?

Yeah it's a trip at first. My left eye has always had an astigmatism I just didn't know it.

When I got my first pair of glasses I kept falling down.

That's exactly what I've compared it to. And it's pretty fucking amazing in that same respect watching TV. I have a 720p 50" Samsung, and the clarity of it has never been so apparent.

It's shocking to think about how well I thought I was seeing before them.

My vision has been absolutely fucked since like the 2nd grade. I forget what the eye doctor said exactly, but it was something along the lines of my eyes deteriorating. I'll be 21 in april. Glasses arent that bad though, i love mine, i think i look weird without them.
