Smith & Wesson my dad gave to me and a Kershaw my friend found who I then guilted into giving to me for a favor he owed. Score! Admittedly the speedsafe function concerned me at first, foresaw it catching on a pocket as I open it and flicking the blade open....but everything I've read tells me they're not to worry about.

Hey knife nerds, I'm in the market for a good outdoorsy, hiking/camping knife in the $150-$200 range with a 4-5" fixed blade. Any suggestions? I'm looking at Benchmade's Nimaravus and Adamas right now. What else should I be considering?

Nice! I was carrying my Flash II today. I also recently picked up an ESEE Izula which I really like and I have a Spyderco Persistence as well which I seem to carry the most.

I have that same bayonet with a different wood sheath

the sheath on mine is pretty nifty- that "knob" on it fits into a slot in the blade, turning the bayonet into chainlink/concertina/etc cutters.

Izula is one of my all time favorite blades, but cant seem to find a great way to carry it. Does anyone make a kydex sheath for it with a GOOD belt clip? I havent looked in years..

There are a number of people on some of the knife/blade forums who make custom kydex sheaths for them. I've only had it for a few weeks but I seem to always carry it in the change pocket of my jeans with a loop of paracord around my belt in case it happens to pop out. It conceals well and I forget it's there sometimes.

Yep, saw most of them. Still not a simple belt sheath though, thats all I want. Let me know if you ever come across one!

Gonna start buying some knives for EDC. I just bought a super cheap Ganzo G704 that I am waiting for.

Chinese made but insanely durable, up there with the $100+ Benchmades.

Also I just realized I think I have that same tibetan Kukri set passed down from my grandfather. Don't know much about them, gonna google it now.
