Reading book 1 of the Saxon Series by Bernard Cromwell. Good book so far and there are a hand full in the series. Historical fiction based around the danes invading england during the rule of Alfred the Great. Right up my alley.

Pretty good so far, only 130 pgs in so far. Long book though 800+ pages.

Definitely! I read it twice in high-school, (2 times my junior year). Now, almost 4 years later, I'm going to start it again. (Ironically going into my junior year of college).

Tucker Max has a new book out called "Assholes Finish First". I read the first one and laughed my ass off and had time to read a chapter out of this one, it looks just as good.

              Anybody reading it?

Guns, Germs & Steel was awesome. I've read a few Diamond books. Why Sex is Fun is also good.

Great series, I've read practically all his books. His King Arthur series is really good too I would recommend it.

The Sharpe series is something like 20 books about the British empire and the Napoleon wars in the 18th and early 19th centuries. Pretty easy reading maybe not all that intellectual but good gore and battle descriptions.
