Ok ima call the DMV tommorow and ask if this is possible. I just heard that getting an abandoned car title in NC is impossible. Idk if the laws in GA is the same. I will see tommorow deffinately. I will also keep you guys postedComment

Time to be a man and take matters into your own hands.
If I were you, I'd jack up the car and take a look at the front output of the transfer case. I'd be willing to bet your milk money that the spline teeth are stripped. He didn't want to give you the front driveshaft because it would have been stripped also, and thus, you would not have bought the car. It's a common problem on IX's if the spline isn't slobbered in moly grease and the shaft o-ring replaced every couple of years. A $2000 IX is equivalent to a $400 is. It's a project and not a good candidate for a first car, unless you have money and tools/time to fix all of the problems. Next time, I would recommend checking out the car first and making sure ALL of the paperwork is done before money is transferred. There is no reason that you shouldn't be able to get the title in hand on a 20 year old car the same day that you buy it.Comment

Hehe this isnt my first car Ive had one e30 before this one and I have done plenty of work on them. Ima take pictures and post them up here. Thanks for your input will keep it in mind.Comment

technically if you had found some shit out within 3 days of the transaction...you can recall it and return to the seller....well at least thats the law in CA...
and to get the things fixed...find a 325ix parts car...Comment

He's not talking about a halfshaft. It's the driveshaft that connects the transfer case to the front differential on an IX. I can't imagine that driving the car without the front driveshaft could be good for the viscous coupling in the transfer case.Comment
