You really can't relate, understand, or have any idea about being high. Good for you, I wish I'd never touched drugs personally. However you can't just assume people who are high are rational people. I can remember being at a wedding with my family. We were all sitting at the table and I was all fucked up but did I think anyone knew? No, I thought I was cool and fooling everyone. Little did I know that when your head is bobbing around like a bobble head figurine, its pretty damn obvious to everyone. My dad even said "Do you think you're fooling anyone?". I said something all pissy like "What are you talking about?", got up went to the bathroom, got more high and bought some underage kids alcohol at the bar.

Now I can't stand looking at the pictures from the wedding. I was one of the grooms and I look like a fucking junky piece of shit. Don't worry, at some point he'll feel shame about this and for a man feeling shame and loss of honor is quite devastating. The loss of self is hard and can lead you in or out of drugs, amongst other things.

Basically I'm sure Jaoquin thought he was in control and acting "normal". Thats why he would get upset when people laughed or questioned him. He's kinda like "what the fuck are they laughing about, fing idiots". In a way its kinda true, all those celeb loving morons would laugh at anything letterman said. Your straight edge views do affect the way you see this, just as my drug using past affects the way I see it.
