Forget it. You have such a poor grasp on reality that attempting to communicate with you is pointless.
try making some statements of fact, rather than smearing the poster.

Hallen: I am pretty sure it was Margret Thatcher that said

-"the problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money"-

I think it sums up that last post rather well, and its what all these guys are missing.

Its not in the poors interests to take money from the rich, that has been proved not to help anyone.

Basically the rich vote aka the minority can't protect itself from the poor vote, aka the majority.

this is simplified. ill elaborate when you make a dumbass statement.
Although it looks like this was written by a second grader, and maybe was, he still understands this better than a lot of others.

The "rich" we are talking about here are really the upper middle class. They are not the ones hiring lobbyists and buying votes in congress. That is mostly other governments, big business, and big unions. So, in other words, these "almost rich" folks get one vote and that's it. Just like the rest of us. They are a minority and cannot protect themselves from the masses who are jealous and want to punish these people for being successful. It's blatantly anti-American.

In the long run, it is NOT in the best interests of the poor to tax the rich into oblivion. However, they don't care. They want their money right now. So they do vote in people who will give them money, just like Obama is doing. If that money gets taken from the "rich" so much the better. It is vindictive and is class warfare. And, that flame of hate is carefully nurtured and fanned by the Democrats. It is their voter base.

The rich don't hate the poor. I guarantee that a wide majority of them would be willing and are willing to help the poor... if the poor were willing to help themselves.

However, the poor, especially the young poor, HATE the rich and blame the rich for holding them down. Bah, nobody is holding them down except their own ignorance and unwillingness to compete.

The foundation "builds and implements public-private partnerships to address the world’s most pressing problems, and broadens support for the UN through advocacy and public outreach." In 2006, the foundation delivered its billionth dollar to UN causes — $600m of which came from Turner and $400m from public and private partners. Turner has pledged to use the remaining $400m of his commitment to leverage additional funds for UN causes and activities."

Yes, but that was to avoid even more money down the tubes in the form of taxes. Plus, since he is a bleeder, he is stroking both his ego and his guilt for making so much money. Lots of former hippies (well, like Marines, there is no such thing as former), went out and made their wads in the 80's and 90's. Now they are secure and they want to make sure everybody else supports their born-again socialist ideas. Never mind that it was the free market, and a long period of general economic improvement brought on by decreased government intervention in the economy that enabled them to get rich in the first place.

Kronus, you simply don't understand. The concept that the government must spend money to reverse a poor economic environment is fundamentally flawed. Not even Keynes believed that to be the case. All three major schools of economics refute what Obama and Congress are doing. It cannot and will not work. This crisis (and it is a crisis) was just an excuse for Pelosi, Reed and Obama to get everything going that they wanted to do over the next 4 years. Now he can start on the stuff that he wanted for his second 4 years. You've been had. And, against all evidence to the contrary, you still seem to believe that they have crafted a brilliant "stimulus" plan. It is simply gross government overspending.

Don't keep pointing back at Bush and saying "Oh, yeah!". Remember, Bush didn't have a majority in Congress to work with. He signed bills he shouldn't have to try and "mend fences" and be bipartisan. Bah, he screwed the pooch with that stuff. But it doesn't matter in our discussion here. Two wrongs don't make a right. And, BTW, by pointing at the previous administration and saying "well, they did it" is implying that what Bush did was right.

BTW, the money spent in Iraq may actually get us somewhere someday. The least of which it did was removed a vicious genocidal dictator from office and freed a nation. What they do with it from here on out is their deal. It wasn't money wasted. This shit in this latest bill is money wasted.
