Its not in the poors interests to take money from the rich, that has been proved not to help anyone.

Basically the rich vote aka the minority can't protect itself from the poor vote, aka the majority.

this is simplified. ill elaborate when you make a dumbass statement.

Lee, I mean really, what the hell. This thread is about the budget of the United States of America. If you feel so compelled to participate, just move down here.

Until then, keep selling brake kits, drinking shitty beer and getting free health care from those underqualified retards you call "doctors". And leave this thread alone.

so the solution is to rape the rich minority? what the government is doing is blatant theft. Say the flat tax is 10%. If you can't afford to save 10 percent of what you make for the government, there is a serious, SERIOUS issue in your spending habits.

The idea that we Americans are ENTITLED to have a TV, Cell Phone etc. is ridiculous. Go listen to Dave Ramsey America, if you can't pay cash for it. don't buy it.

The Government is just enabling irresponsible spending, which is what got us into this mess.

"A new era of fiscal responsibility"

Quadrupling the deficit the first month in office.

No wonder Obama wouldn't give any specifics while he was running and just stuck to the "Hope" & "Change" vague, ambiguous BS

Lee, you were pretty aggressive in your post (and many others) as well. And no one here is against helping people. Now if all that money had gone to taxes, would it have been donated as he wished? That's the whole point of capitalism. It's not a zero-sum game. Yes, some will not do as well as others, welcome to the natural condition of life. Meanwhile, as everyone striving to do better is what pushes the market and country up, and grows new consumer bases which in turn allows more people the opportunity to generate profit.

There is enough capacity within this system to help those who need a little help getting back on their feet. It cannot support entire populations or segments of the economy, nor can it function effectively if the basic premise of competition is tampered with. While it might make people feel good about themselves to say that wealth will be redistributed artificially, it hurts the underlying engine behind economic growth. It's like getting a sick person drunk. He will feel better for a while but eventually the root causes of the illness will crop up.

what i meant to make a point of is why should they pay more? because they have more? my dad started out with nothing and is a self made millionaire, how can anyone say that he should pay more because he has more?

Taxes should be at a SINGLE flat percent across the income bracket.
The majority is raping and stealing from the minority, and there isn't a thing they can legally do.

who do you think would generate more income for the government? Donald trump paying no taxes, or you paying the same percent of taxes as he does?
