I would have never guessed, you had me convinced that it was some OE part.

Can you make a write-up for that?

No I didnt. This was way before I got into e30's. My car broke down one day and my friend let me barrow one of his. I dd it for a few months then got an e34. After that I kept the e34 and got an e30 sold that one and then got another e30.

        but for real

he's my neighbor, he even admits my car is faster from a stop to 75-80.

and besides, if a teggy isnt vtech, and a gsr, it's not shit.
my friends 250k+ eta running on 5 cylinders pulls on a non-vtech Ls teggy.
PULLS! The only m42 on this site that will beat a gsr from a stop or intersection is danny's.

I know a guy with a piece of shit civic that beat one of his ricer friends in a gsr, i gave him a ride in my car and he said with a sad face that i would smoke him.
i have never driven a car with an M42, i have seen what a stock gsr can do with the right driver and im pretty sure that you car with those mods cannot beat a gsr, not with a good driver at least

With an 84x81 M42 with nothing really done to it, assuming the car is in the 2500-2600# range...it will not beat a GS-R. It just will not happen. An LS/GS/RS, maybe, but not a GS-R. Back in high-school, I used to run Integras constantly at Farmington 1/8 mile and I guarentee you won't be walking any B18C motors with a stock M42.

So, let me make sure I have this right.

The E30 + JDM styling thread has turned into a HondaTech "which 4 banger is faster for teh street racing" thread?

                    That's gayer than aids.

I came into this thread at page 2 and read all the way through page 4 and assumed that is all that this thread was about.. what a mess.

I have always been a fan of the SSR Reverse Mesh.

I think those would look super classy on an e30. Maybe somewhere in between Euro and Japanese.
