    anyone been a sign holder?

so i currently have no job and dont plan on getting a somewhat serious job since in a couple months, fire fighting season starts again. but i just found a sign holding job for some new houses that pays 20 and hour. and its only from 12-4:30 on sat and sunday.

anyone had a similar type job? i could use some insight cuz the job looks boring, but it sounds soo easy i feel like i cant pass it up.

I've seen those ppl on the street & wondered how much they make.

Usually I see ppl holding signs for stores that are going out of business.

$180 a week for sitting on a curb holding a sign?
fuck it, id do it. if youre the type of person that can entertain themselves and not get sore/tired from standing for 4+ hours, its basically easy money.

thats good money but in addition to being the most degrading job ever, I couldn't stand for that long doing nothing.

Imagine going out with some friends. You meet some chick and she says: "Hey, didn't I see you holding a KB homes sign this morning near the loop and wescott street?"

Yeah, they generally hire homeless people to do this job.

that's exactly the sort of scenario I had in mind that'd keep me away from the job

I don't exactly have the most glorious job at the moment but at least I'm doing something useful
