A 35-mile car chase then ensued with multiple officers. Stop sticks were used and Kaiyewu got out of his car. They tried tazing him, but they say he came at them with a machete and knife
His brother says he believes this could be a case of racism.
Regardless, very sad situation man. These types of situations are ridiculous.

Promising medical student or not, if the car chase and the machete incident are true that was incredibly stupid of him. Yes, the cop may have used excessive force to stop him, but if you're being ran at by a crazy kid that you just chased down for 35 miles and is wielding a machete, chances are you'd shoot too.

Wait, are you suggesting the police should have left a machete weilding suspect and just left the scene after he resisted arrest?

I would plug anyone that is charging me while wielding a Machete in a way that threatens my life or that of my family, with out hesitation.
If that was the case there was no excessive force there, 100% justifiable. Obviously the officers involved in the pursuit have some sort of agenda. Their bias against people of ethnicity is clear to see. They should be punished until they realize all men are created equal; even those through no fault of their own, were born into this world with no choice but to lead police of long chases and then swing machetes at them.
When will the world finally accept these men and women? Society calls them crazy, locks them up. It is madness. Just the other day I broke bread with a promising young doctor, or video store clerk, after he'd finished a rather lengthy 75 mile run from police and had retired his machete for the evening. He was wonderful company and we spoke on topics ranging from the financial crisis and bringing peace to the middle East to the struggles of denying his paternity to his "baby momma" and the tough choices for the upcoming April 20th holiday, a solemn date in his culture.- Sco

So what's the lesson we can take from this? When you get pulled over......
Don't do anything stupid (i.e. pull a gun/knife/flame-thrower/hungry parana) on the cop. Definately don't try running the badge over with your car. Unless this guy had a warrant for his arrest, a dead body or several pounds of drugs in the trunk or is on the run from immigration (which doesn't seem plausable seeing he had this 'promising' future and no prior criminal record), what's the point of reacting this way in the first place?!?!
I know I'm just armchair-quarterbacking the subject, but one has to wonder why a person with pressumed innocence would do this.
