Doctors leaving Medicare by the Droves

    and it will only continue...

Tip of the iceberg. Non-participation in Medicare will become rampant as the new health care delivery model evolves.

The next step will be to make taking Medicare mandatory for things like licensure.

Texas doctors are opting out of Medicare at alarming rates, frustrated by reimbursement cuts they say make participation in government-funded care of seniors unaffordable.

I find this a bit suprising actually. My grandmother was in a nursing home and all I saw was the doctors there finding every little thing (needed and more often not) to charge medicare for as much as possible. With as much abuse is done by doctors to medicare, I say good riddance.

Do you worry. Soon they'll have to pass a law that mandates doctors HAVE to accept Medicare.

One of my roommates moved here from Chicago and had an allergy flair-up and tried 12 doctors and none were taking new patients. Thankfully, although I haven't seen a doctor in ages, my local practitioner still sends me stuff so I'm still a customer on their records I think.

Flaming? Not worth it as your ignorance is blinding on this subject.
