If scientists could prove through DNA that only a very, very small percentage of the current jewish population in Israel indeed had common genetic ties with Israel's original Jewish population (which dispersed 26 centuries ago and created different interpretations of the faith). Would that be an argument big enough to destroy the belief that this land belongs exclusively to Jews? BTW Why should this land belong to a religious minority, while Christians and Muslims were the majority? Where were Jews during the Crusade?

I dont think it would matter, It is kind of like saying genetically we have nothing in common with the native americans and should give the land back to its rightfull owners.

So are you saying minorities shouldn't get their own land? The Jews have far more of a claim on Israel than the Mormons do on Utah, the Albanian's on Kosovo, or even the "Greeks" on Greece. They have fought for that land, they have historical and religious ties to the land, and some even have ethnic ties to it. I am not saying that they deserve the land, but they sure as hell have a better argument for it than most people who get their own land.

Reality is, Israel was founded on a small patch of land historically tied to them. Maybe if palestinians didn't wage a war on Western World that had control of the land, Jews would just continue living in Odessa, Ukraine. Blockade is of a country or govt/controlling entity that is engaged in armed conflict with the blocking, country or govt. - Check (hamas is at war with Israel, Hamas is the ruling body of Palestine go figure)

These are the criteria for a lawful Blockade in international waters based on international maritime law. Israel has fulfilled all of them, they are fully justified in stopping anything they want from trying to break the LEGAL blockade.

TEHRAN - Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards are ready to provide a military escort to cargo ships trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza, a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday.

"Iran's Revolutionary Guards naval forces are fully prepared to escort the peace and freedom convoys to Gaza with all their powers and capabilities," Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's representative inside the Revolutionary Guards, was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency.

Any intervention by the Iranian military would be considered highly provocative by Israel which accuses Iran of supplying weapons to Hamas, the Islamist movement which rules Gaza.

The Guards, with their own navy, air force and command structure separate from the regular armed forces, are seen as fiercely loyal to the values of the Islamic Republic.
