The people of Iran can handle their own issues. If they don't like their government, the people themselves are stronger than the government running the show. They can topple it and have a revolution just like in the late 70s.

I'm so completely against major nations meddling in other countries' business, in fact, I'm more so against America's support of Israel, which is the root of all these problems.

You need to dive into history books on this one. United States had a lot to do with late 70's revolution in Iran.

You may find some info on control of oil, nerve gas supplied by the US to Iraqis to be thrown at Iranians (which backfired), support from the US to Iranian dictatorship(s), which led to a religious coup by Khomeny in 1980. The dismantling of the Iraqi army after the invasion being one of the US's worst mistake as it gave even more power to Iranians thru religious affiliations. And so on.

Wrong was the right answer. The U.S. has not been making its foreign policy in the Middle East due to the fact that we have some agreement with Iran. Unless i misunderstood what he meant with the reacharound statement, i assume he means we are in Irans pocket or something.

Things are more complex than they appear, but don't laugh, Wiglaf is true, until 1979 that is. Iran was indeed a puppet of the US and British governements (just as many Middle Eastern countries with oil in the 20th century, or tobacco in the 19th century). Iranians got fed-up with the US-backed monarchy under Shah Mohamed Reza Pahlavi and it lead to the Islamic revolution of 1979 that put Ayatollah Khomeini in power. That revolution was triggered by the support of the Iranian dictatorship (in fact two generations) by the US. In between the two dictatorships, there was a period of democracy with elected government that displeased the US interests. Which is why they brought back the second Shah.

Closer to us. As we all know, Islam is not one religion. There are several groups that are antagonists with each others (just like Catholics and Protestants). The two main groups are the Shiites and the Sunis. The Sunis were governing Iraq, with Shiite opposition, while in Iran, Shiites groups are in command. When the US dismantled the Iraqi government after the invasion, they dismantled the army (which was the backbone of the Iraqi society) and took the power out of the Sunis' hands. That power went to the Shiites. Which was a huge strategic mistake. Simply because the Iraqi Shiites have the support of the Iranian Shiites. Therefore, basically, the US handed the power over Iraq to Iranians religious groups... So, now, Obama has to be kind with Iranians. Because if Iranian Shiites get pissed, the Iraqi Shiites will bring big shit (no pun intended) in Iraq. So, knowing that US-backed Israel wants to raid Iran, you see that the conflict will spread very quickly and the US may risk to loose Iraq and its oil resources.
