No, this was pretty big news back in 2005. France has suffered worse than any other country, as they pay higher rates of "welfare" than any other nation, and let people get away with more.
This issue has gotten worse as crowds of Muslims are pissed at the whole damn world...plus France still supports them and does not require "assimilation".
It is a really tough issue. Any significant crackdown, or demands of assimilation are basically too late now, as France already has a HUGE terrorism issue and will only get worse if the Muslims feel "pressured".

Wow this whole issue reminds me of when I got in all these arguments with some liberal friends I had before the Obama election. I stress had because I had to let them go. Now they are singing a different tune of course and are allowed to be my friends again. This is the same thing. Its crazy how right I always am. I'm no psychic either this is all based on history. I feel like the r3v messiah. So maybe we could all vote and I could become ya'lls spiritual leader.Comment
