Yeah I can't wait for everything to kick in. I love socialism so much. I don't like people motivated by money or success. They try so hard and how do you keep up with people like that when you just want to hang out and get government payments. Healthcare is gonna be kickass. I'll just only pay for coverage when I get sick but don't tell anyone because this will be our secret. You know why I'm really not worried though? Its because our government is so good and taking our money and spending it on awesome stuff.

Was the bill perfect? No. Will the minor overhaul eventually lead to savings, while helping 30mil receive coverage? Yes.

I cant help but LMFAO at the fact you are still trying to justify what most everyone else now knows is seriously wrong legislation.

Who is "they"? I heard not one word from the Obama admin that costs would increase after the bill was passed.

You're going to be saying that every year for 10 years.
What do you think is going to happen in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014? You really think the prices are going to go down? Why would they go down over the next 4 years when these insurance companies are going to be forced to cover people they normally would never cover? And the legislation wont change over those 4 years. The prices will go down because Obama said they would?
Then in 2014 when the insurance companies are forced to cover 30 million more people (many of which will be high risk) ...you think prices will fall...lol.

Mine increased by about the same amount as last year. Your expectation of getting some obscene bill just because of the reform is comical.

Yeah lets not worry about how governments involvement in healthcare already makes costs skyrocket. Why is it that they only see an average of 2% profits? So if government involvement in private healthcare causes a reduction in profits then what happens when government is involved a whole lot....like a whole lot for realz? Oh wait who cares because 320 million foot the bill....oh wait don't only 40% of Americans pay taxes? Hey isn't that number going down ecause more are going into poverty?

It's not an expectation, at least for me, we've already received our enrollment information.

wow, you really seem convinced that these poor honest businessmen are just getting shafted by the government for no reason.
The only sense of pity I have for them is that the drug companies somehow escaped this mess, and they are a much larger part of the problem than the insurers.

I think it's simply too early to tell. I don't have the documentation in front of me, but my healthcare costs went up ~15% two years ago and ~40% last year (we switched companies and knocked it down to like 20%, so part of that is word of mouth).

I understand the skepticism, but I don't see a reason to freak out just yet.

No one is arguing that the system is perfect, at least not if they pay attention to anything. That is the biggest issue.

However, playing Robin Hood with healthcare and the rest of the economy doesn't make any sense.
