You may not like his writing style, but his facts don't seem to be out of order. Can't really argue with FBI terrorism databases. I fail to see how he is a 'moron' for researching and writing an article based on solid data.

OP - Good articles, thanks for sharing.

Allow me to quote the whole "moral of the story", or the "purpose" of the article as stated by the author:

"The moral of the story is that Americans ought to calm down when it comes to Islamic terrorism."

Yeah, seriously, Americans! sheesh! Give me a break! i mean, two little airplanes crash into two little towers, and there is this big fuss? Calm down! No need to get your panties in a bunch!

I'm not arguing facts, it is the use of facts to carry out his agenda which is to attack right wing Americans.

Comments like this, "(For the record: I don’t believe in such profiling, because I am–unlike the right wing nutters–a believer in American ideals.)".

If he really just wanted to get that information out there to set the record straight, it should have been a call to all Americans. By directing it the way he did, he is absolutely no better than people who believe all terrorists are Muslims.

Another comment he made, "Right wingers always live in mortal fear–or rather, they try to make you feel that way".

He is trying to tell people that not all terrorists are Muslims and in turn also saying that all right wingers are Islamophobes. That is why I think it is poorly written and the writer is a moron.

Its insulting. people forget. go watch some youtube videos of 9/11 for a refresher. The vast majority of Muslims are peace loving good people but until they start speaking out against the radicals you get what you get.

Yes, on those points I agree. I thought you were referring more to the numbers and arguments he made. But yes you are correct, by attacking all right-wing people and labeling them all islamophobic he is being very contradictory.

Except the fact that there's a picture saying "Terrorism has no religion" ....which is a joke.
The first link is ONLY on American soil. What happens when we include the rest of the world? And do we include all the Sheria Law enforcement in the Arabic nations as terrorism? And what are they including as "terrorism"?
The first link is pretty much pointless.

                    Good point.

I'm politically unbiased and unaffiliated, but I still liked the article. I think there is a need for a huge percentage of Americans (left, right, whatever) to pull their heads out of their asses and seek a truth other than the one they are spoon fed by the media all the time.

yeah I dont think all terrorists are muslims, I dont think all muslims are terrorist. but if I see a guy with a long ass beard, wearing a turban, who looks nervous and is sweating in an airport? Damn right I will be suspicious, just like when i drive into a city and see a group of guys with pants below their asses, huge flight jackets, and fitted hats that are all speaking ebonics, i get a little more aware of my situation... Do I profile people? Hell yes I do, and so does everyone else, so people need to stop acting all high and mighty like they never do....

Most people who truly looking to have a debate/discussion about terrorism know this. Fear mongering people who prey on uneducated listeners know this too; its the uneducated spreading that don't. Which is one of the main reasons I can't watch Fox, MSNBC, CNN or BBC when covering America.

I think if i saw anyone looking nervous and sweating in an airport I would be suspicious of them. I do agree with you, although sometimes I don't see it so much profiling as I do statistics.
